Independence Disaster Animal Response Team Independence DART Members learn how to prepare their families, help their community be better prepared, and rescue and shelter animals when a disaster or crisis happens in their community. Based in
Northland Disaster Animal Response Team (DART) Serving Clay and Platte Counties, the Northland DART helps community members be better prepared to care for their own animals in the event of a disaster, and is fully trained to assist in rescuing and sheltering pets in the event of a disaster in the Northland.
No More Homeless Pets Kansas City is a coalition of veterinarians, humane societies, municipal shelters, rescue groups, spay/neuter groups, and individuals who are working toward a time when there will be No More Homeless Pets Kansas City. Exciting news! No More Homeless Pets KC and Animal Haven have recently merged! According to their website, "The new organization, Heartland SPCA, is the first full circle-solution for residents in the Kansas City area."
